Body Armor Heel Reliever

Offloading device that completely suspends the heel. Has two internal foam finishes (convoluted or smooth) and a friction-free exterior surface. Ventilation holes promote air circulation. Three straps hold the forefoot and lower leg in an orthograde position. Can be worn on either the right or left foot. Machine washable. The device is supplied with a forefoot pad, a long calf pad (30cm), a positioning wedge (to counteract external rotation of the leg) and a laundry bag. The device is manufactured by DARCO and distributed by V-M Orthotics.

Devon Utility Pad

Foam positioning device designed to reduce risk of pressure ulcers and nerve damage whilst maintaining proper circulation, to be used as part of a pressure ulcer prevention or treatment strategy. Convoluted side of dressing will be in contact with pressure points, which require cushioning and circulation maintenance.

FootSafe Prevention Boot

Heelift

The Heelift family (Glide, AFO and Classic) of suspension boots use a fixed pad of latex-free foam to completely elevate the heel, redistributing pressure along the calf. Friction-free Tricot backing and soft felt closure straps for a secure fit eliminate the risk of pressure, friction and shear to the heel. The foam support of the forefoot allows dorsiflexion while preventing heel-cord contracture (foot drop) and external hip rotation (with the spare pad or a wedge).

Heelift Glide

Redistributes pressure from the heel to the calf to prevent heel pressure ulceration. Gentle cradling and cushioning of the lower leg with the heel elevated in protective space reduces the chances of irritation or pressure points. The soft, smooth exterior fabric allows the leg to glide from side to side, preventing it from catching on sheets and blankets.

Jobst Foam

Kerraped Plantar Ulcer

A shoe system comprising a therapeutic shoe and an insole. The insole, which is 18mm thick, combines Poron, Plastazote and multifoam, and has easily removable pegs to allow selective offloading. The insole is placed into the therapeutic shoe, which has a breathable upper material and an abrasion-resistant outer sole. The shoe is secured with Velcro straps. Replacement insoles are available.

KerraPro Pressure Reducing Pads

Shaped pads made from 100% silicone. The pads can be reused on the same patient (simply wash with soap and water). They must be completely dry before re-application.

Liqua Care

Ergonomic, liquid-filled, pressure-redistributing insoles. Fabric covered for added comfort. Slim, so fits most types of shoes. According to manufacturer, is clinically proven to reduce peak forefoot pressure by over 21% immediately and to increase circulation by over 5% with one week’s use.

Mölnlycke Z-Flo Fluidised Positioners and Heel Boot

A fluidised positioner that moulds to individual patient and anatomical shapes to redistribute pressure. Offloads bony prominences, such as the occiput. Zero-flow: once moulded into any shape, it will maintain that form and patient position over time. Zero-memory: moulds to a new shape when needed without returning to its previous form.
