Askina Calgitrol matrix formulation combines calcium alginate and silver alginate with 10% of bounded water. In contact with exudate, alginate matrix forms a soft gel, which enables the continuous release of silver ions from the entire dressing surface. The concentration of silver ions in the wound is maintained for 7 days at the level of 60ppm.
Conformable paste composed of the same ionic silver alginate matrix as used in the Askina Calgitrol Ag flat dressing.
Consists of a thin layer of silver alginate matrix. This forms a soft gel when in contact with exudate, allowing the immediate controlled and sustained release of silver ions into the wound.
