ActivHeal Hydrocolloid

Consists of a thin layer of hydrocolloid laminated to a highly breathable film. Contains a mixture of synthetic polymers and hydrophilic powders, with a high moisture vapour transmission rate film backing. Does not contain animal-derived ingredients.

Indications

Light to moderately exuding chronic and acute wounds, including pressure ulcers, venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, lacerations, abrasions and postoperative surgical wounds. Can be used as a secondary dressing on cavity wounds and under compression bandages.

An adhesive, bordered hydrocolloid dressing. An indicator helps to determine when to change the dressing. The adhesive layer forms a cohesive gel when in contact with wound exudate. The dressing is tapered at the edges to help reduce the incidence of rolling or rucking during use.
