Absorbent antimicrobial three-layer foam dressings consisting of the following: a silver sulfadiazine containing absorbent hydrocellular pad sandwiched between a perforated non adherent wound contact layer and a waterproof top film.
Wound management, by secondary intention of chronic and acute full thickness, partial thickness or shallow granulating exuding wounds, such as pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, malignant wounds, surgical wounds, first and second-degree burns, donor sites and Fungating ulcers. May be used on infected wounds. Where the product is used on infected wounds the wounds should be treated as per local clinical protocol. Can be used under compression. Can be used in conjunction with Intrasite Gel for necrotic or sloughy wounds. Suitable for dressing heels and other awkward areas and contributes to a pressure relieving protocol when used in conjunction with pressure relieving devices.
Hypersensitivity to silver sulfadiazine or sulfonamides. As sulfonamides are known to cause kernicterus, should not be used on females who are at, or near term pregnancy or lactating, on premature infants or on newborn infants during the first months of life.
Soft, sterile non-woven dressing made from two layers of 1.2% ionic silver-impregnated Hydrofiber; sodium carboxymethylcellulose and enhanced with More Than Silver antibiofilm technology, stitched together with cellulose-strengthening fibres. Absorbs wound fluid, and disrupts and breaks down biofilm to expose and kill bacteria, while preventing biofilm re-formation. Provides nine times stronger tensile strength and 50% greater absorption than Aquacel Ag.
Soft, sterile non-woven ribbon dressing made from a layer of 1.2% ionic silver-impregnated Hydrofiber (sodium carboxymethylcellulose) and enhanced with More Than Silver anti-biofilm technology, stitched together with cellulose strengthening fibres. Absorbs wound fluid, disrupts and breaks down biofilm to expose and kill bacteria, while preventing biofilm reformation.
