A sterile, absorbent dressing made of polyabsorbent fibres and the non-adherent TLC-Ag Healing Matrix that enables pain-free dressing changes and can stay in place for up to 7 days. The polyabsorbent fibres in the dressing pad provide a complete and continuous cleaning action to remove slough and exudate and the silver ions provide fast and broad-spectrum antimicrobial efficacy. This combined cleaning and antimicrobial action is designed to defeat biofilms and prevents their reattachment.
All wounds at risk of or with signs of local infection including exuding chronic wounds (leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers) and acute wounds (burns, traumatic wounds and surgical wounds). Can be used with a secondary dressing or under compression if needed.
Sensitivity to silver. Do not use on patients undergoing an MRI scan, but a new dressing can be applied after the procedure. Do not combine with hydrogen peroxide or organic mercury or hexamidine antiseptics. Not suitable for use as a surgical sponge for heavily bleeding wounds.
