Description
Antibacterial gel containing 40% medical-grade honey, medical-grade hypoallergenic lanolin (Medilan), propylene glycol, PEG 4000 and vitamins C and E. Designed for patients with sensitivity to honey (has a reduced honey content). Single-patient multi-use.
Indications
Superficial and acute wounds such as cuts, abrasions and donor sites. Superficial and partial-thickness burns (first and second degree). Chronic wounds such as pressure ulcers, venous and arterial leg ulcers, and diabetic foot ulcers. Fungating wounds (to help deodorise and debride). Colonised acute wounds and (postoperative) surgical wounds.
Contraindications
None known, to date. As a precaution, do not use on patients who are sensitive to the product or any of its components.
