Description

Hydroactive, low-adherent, antibacterial honey-containing dressing with an adhesive film border. This sterile, semipermeable dressing contains 30% honey, as well as an acrylic polymer gel and water, and a polyurethane film backing. The honey-hydrogel pad rehydrates dry tissue and absorbs low levels of exudate.

Indications

For chronic wounds such as pressure ulcers; superficial and partial-thickness burns; venous, arterial and diabetic ulcers; fungating wounds. Also indicated for acute fungating wounds. Also indicated for acute wounds such as surgical wounds, and cuts and abrasions.

Contraindications

Do not use on individuals with a known sensitivity to the dressing and its components. The dressing should not be used on heavily exuding wounds; full-thickness burns; deep, narrow cavities or sinuses.
