Repose Ambulance Companion

A reactive air pressure redistributing and reduction support surface utilising immersion and envelopment, this overlay provides an effective pressure redistribution and reduction support surface for ambulance stretchers and patient trolleys. It offers improved comfort and patient dignity while reducing the risk of hospital-acquired pressure ulcers (HAPUs) for patients who experience delays during ambulance handovers and extended trolley waits in emergency departments. The Repose Ambulance Companion is an effective pressure area care solution that can be safely secured to an ambulance stretcher or patient trolley. It can be cleaned and reused for multiple patients and comes with a 3-year warranty.

Indications

Those at risk of developing pressure ulcers, including those at very high risk. The treatment of all categories/stages of pressure ulcers when used as part of a package of care.

Contraindications

Seating solutions and overlays are not suitable for patients with unstable spinal fractures, in addition to patients requiring posture management, such as those with pelvic obliquity. Irregular body shapes that cannot be fully supported by Repose. Not suitable for patients weighing over 139kg.
