For use as an additional port for Renasys negative pressure wound therapy dressing kits.
Use in conjunction with Renasys negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) systems. The Renasys NPWT System is indicated for patients who would benefit from a suction pump (NPWT), as it may promote wound as it may promote wound healing via the removal of fluids, including irrigation and body fluids, wound exudate and infectious materials. Appropriate wound types include: chronic, acute, traumatic, sub-acute and dehisced wounds, ulcers (such as pressure or diabetic), partial-thickness burns, flaps, grafts.
Necrotic tissue and eschar present, untreated osteomyelitis, malignancy in wound (except palliative care to enhance quality of life), exposed arteries, veins, nerves or organs, non-enteric and unexplored fistulas and exposed anastomotic site.
