Mepilex Border Sacrum

Bordered foam dressing shaped to conform to the sacrum. Consists of a soft silicone wound contact layer, an absorbent foam pad containing a silver compound and activated carbon, a layer with superabsorbent fibres and a film backing.

Indications

Designed to be part of a prophylactic therapy to prevent skin damage, e.g. pressure ulcers, and to reduce postoperative blistering. Also designed for a wide range of exuding wounds, such as pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, foot ulcers, traumatic wounds (e.g. skin tears) and surgical wounds. Can also be used on dry/necrotic wounds in combination with gels.
