Description

Inelastic (short-stretch) compression bandage

Indications

Treatment and management of venous leg ulcers, lymphoedema and chronic oedema. Suitable for mobile and immobile patients, and those with an ABPI of 0.8–1.3. An ABPI of between 0.5 and ≥0.8 or >1.3 requires further investigation before use (please refer to local guidelines).

Contraindications

ABPI <0.8. Only use under strict medical supervision. Not suitable for ankle circumference of <18cm unless padding is used to increase it to ≥18cm. Caution required when cardiac overload is suspected and/or diabetes, advanced small vessel disease, arterial disease, renal failure or rheumatoid arthritis is present. Do not use if there is known sensitivity to the bandage.
