Liquid skin protectant. The barrier film protects skin from irritation due to adhesive products or bodily waste and fluids.
Supplied as a liquid and intended for use as a film-forming product. When applied to intact or irritated skin the product forms a durable, waterproof barrier that works as a protective shield between the skin and bodily waste, fluids, adhesive products and shearing forces. Designed to serve as a primary barrier against irritation from bodily fluids. Sterile and for single use.
Should not be used as the only skin covering in circumstances that require protection from bacterial contamination or penetration by dressing materials e.g. catheter sites for intravenous therapy and full or partial thickness wounds. Should not be used on infected skin.
