Description

Antimicrobial wound cleansing/irrigating solution containing polyhexanide and poloxamer, applied directly to a wound to aid cleaning and reduce wound bioburden. It is safe and non-toxic and does not need to be irrigated from the wound after use.

Indications

Infected or uninfected acute wounds; chronic wounds (e.g. diabetic ulcers, venous ulcers, pressure sore ulcers); thermal or chemical wounds (e.g. 1st and 2nd degree burns, chemical burns, etc.); wounds that caused by electrical current; radiation wounds; entry regions of urological catheters; maintenance of peristomal skin, fistulas and abscesses; cleaning and maintenance of wound surface prior to dressing; antiseptic cleansing, softening and removal of dressing materials that are dried, contaminated and adhered to the wound

Contraindications

Hyaline cartilage and aseptic joint surgeries; middle and internal ear and in the eye; on central nervous system or meninx; known or suspected to be hypersensitivity to ingredients; with anionic surfactants, cleansing soaps, creams, oils, enzymes, etc; for peritoneal lavage and washing; first 4 months of pregnancy
