LBF Sterile Barrier Film
Uses sterile health-care grade silicones to form a fast drying, transparent protective film. It can be applied to both intact and broken skin around peri-wound sites, forming a protective barrier against bodily fluids. Available in three different applications.
Suitable for both intact and injured skin. Can be used to protect skin that is at risk or likely to be compromised by corrosive bodily fluids (including urine, faeces, digestive enzymes), wound exudate, adhesives and friction. Can also provide a surface for the adhesion of medical devices.
LBF Sterile Barrier Film Spray: can be applied without touching the skin directly, making it suitable for sore and delicate skin. Bag on valve technology ensures that the spray remains sterile with every application. It provides 360 degree dispensing with a uniform spray pattern. There is no sting or cold sensation when applied to the skin.
LBF Sterile Barrier Film Foam Applicator: individually packaged, single-use application. The foam applicator allows for accurate application where precision is required. Suitable for use around suprapubic catheters, tracheostomy sites and for peri-wound protection.
LBF Sterile Barrier Film Wipes: individually packaged, single-use application. Suitable for use on small tapes or dressings and for peri-wound protection.
Not to be used as the only covering in situations that require dressing protection from bacterial contamination/penetration, such as intravenous therapy catheter sites and full- or partial-thickness wounds. Not to be used on infected skin or where there is a known allergic sensitivity to any ingredients.
LBF Sterile Barrier Film, in liquid form, is flammable, so use in a well-ventilated area. Avoid use around flames and sources of ignition.
