The system consists of two main elements: an oxygen generator and an oxygen delivery system. The oxygen generator is a battery-operated device that delivers continuous pure humidified oxygen to the wound bed through water electrolysis. It is supplied with two rechargeable batteries and a charging kit, thus allowing the user complete freedom of movement. Each battery will last for a minimum of 24 hours. The oxygen delivery system is a sterile, single-use wound interface that allows free passage of wound exudate into the secondary dressing. It has a 1-metre thin flexible tube that connects directly to the oxygen generator. The delivery system should be changed at each dressing change.
