Description
A primary wound dressing made from the calcium salt of alginic acid, which is rich in mannuronic acid.
Indications
Moderate to heavily exuding wounds such as partial-thickness burns, donor sites, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, postoperative incisions and traumatic wounds. The rope dressing can be applied to moderate to heavily exuding cavity wounds. Can be used under compression.
Contraindications
Sensitivity to calcium alginate or other known allergic skin conditions. Dry or lightly exuding wounds. Heavily bleeding wounds. See instructions for use.
