DESCRIPTION

A haemoglobin spray comprising 10% carbonylated haemoglobin, 0.7% phenoxyethanol, 0.9% sodium chloride and 0.05% N-acetylcysteine to 100% water. Topical application, which should be undertaken at least once every 3 days, facilitates diffusion of oxygen to the wound bed. Not designed to replace standard care, but can be used as an adjunct therapy.

INDICATIONS

Chronic wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, arterial leg ulcers, mixed-aetiology leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, surgical wounds healing by secondary intention.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Do not use during pregnancy. Store in a refrigerator at 2–8C when not in use. The product should not be stored at room temperature for more than six weeks. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50C
