Description
A sterile, antimicrobial, open-weave mesh dressing coated with a hydroactive honey-hydrogel. It contains 20% medical-grade honey, an acrylic polymer gel and water on a polyester mesh structure. This allows for the passage of exudate, which is absorbed by the secondary dressing.
Indications
For low to heavily exuding chronic wounds such as pressure ulcers; superficial- and partial-thickness burns; venous or arterial leg ulcers; diabetic foot ulcers; fungating wounds. Also indicated for acute wounds, such as donor sites, surgical wounds, cuts and abrasions.
Contraindications
Do not use on individuals with a known sensitivity to the dressing or its components. Should not be used without a secondary dressing, or on full-thickness burns, deep narrow cavities, or sinuses.
